The Office of Litigation Counsel (LITC) supports the DoD General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel (Legal Counsel). LITC oversees the Department’s litigation portfolio, advises senior Department officials regarding legal requirements and risks to minimize the potential liability, and coordinates with the Department of Justice to develop legal positions and pursue appropriate cases on appeal.
