The Deputy General Counsel for Environment, Energy, and Installations (EE&I) provides legal advice to the Under Secretary of Defense (Acquisition & Sustainment) and the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Energy, Installations, & Environment).  The Deputy General Counsel (EE&I) provides legal advice on environmental programs and requirements; climate, energy, and sustainability policy and programs; basing; Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) and BRAC-like actions; facility and construction support to civil authorities; housing; installations; military construction (MILCON) and facility sustainment, restoration, & modernization (SRM); non-appropriated fund instrumentalities (NAFI) and morale, welfare, and recreation (MWR) matters; real and personal property; grants and cooperative agreements; and museums, monuments, and memorials.
