Mission Statement
The Office of Information Counsel (OIC) is the DoD Office of the General Counsel division dedicated to the practice of Information Law. The OIC staff includes attorneys, paralegals, information specialists, analysts, and administrative professionals who provide DoD-wide legal advice, assistance, and support on legal issues concerning the creation, storage, management, classification, retention, collection, protection, and disclosure of data and records.
